Stationery with a Living Purpose
EcoNama was founded with a bold, transformative question: "Could the paper we write on protect the trees it is made from?" Today, we deliver stationery that preserves forests, reduces waste, and minimizes emissions.

Certificate of Verified Carbon Unit (VCU) Retirement
To offset the carbon footprint of launching EcoNama notebooks in the USA, Saffron Speciality Papers retired verified credits on the Verra Registry:

Russas REDD+ Project Brazil
Our primary offset initiative is the **Russas REDD+ Forest Project** located in Acre, Brazil. This project protects high-conservation-value tropical rainforests from illegal logging and slash-and-burn agricultural conversion.
By purchasing an EcoNama notebook, you fund forest guards, drone-monitoring tools, and sustainable farming education for local Brazilian forest communities, ensuring the forest stays intact for decades to come.

Earthy, Clean Materials
Traditional paper products are finished using harsh chlorine bleaches, petroleum-based inks, and plastic-laminated coatings that make recycling difficult. EcoNama is different:
- FSC-Certified Paper: Sourced only from forests audited for biodiversity.
- Vegetable Inks: Printed using non-toxic, bio-derived inks made from soy and vegetable oils.
- Water-based Varnish: Biodegradable cover finish that melts away cleanly during pulp recycling.
Our "Return After Use" Recycling Reward
Circular consumption is the ultimate goal. Once you finish writing in your EcoNama notebook, we encourage you to recycle it locally. For bulk users like institutions and offices, we offer a collection program where used notebooks are gathered and returned to our recycling facilities to be repulped into new materials, ensuring near-zero landfill waste.
